Christians
in action Ministries (“C.I.A.”)
was founded by David Carruthers and
launched in 2003. The company’s
purpose is to minister the Gospel
of Jesus Christ through the ministry
of music and literature. To utilize
our talents to empower ourselves
and others to achieve their destiny
and increase spiritual awareness.
We are driven to represent a Godly
lifestyle and produce excellence
in all that we do.
FOUNDER: David Carruthers
Conceived out of rape and no stranger to pain, David
Carruthers was diagnosed with Bipolar
Disorder at eighteen, and experienced
several mental breakdowns. While
suffering silently as a young man,
God led David to write Kill Your Giants which speaks candidly
about “common giants” that
seek to impede us from our spiritual,
emotional and financial empowerment.
David found his passion in writing
poems and songs, in music and in God.
At the young age of thirteen he started
writing and performing his songs in
churches in the Greater Boston area.
Being well received as a solo artist,
David opened for acts such as
Hezekiah Walker, Derek Brinkley and
Fred Hammond. For many
years he sang with the acclaimed
group, Fortress. He is a featured
vocalist on the album “Worship in the Style of ‘G’” by
George W. Russell where his lead
vocal can be heard on the cut “Let's
Worship Him.” David
has written over 100 songs among
them “Tell of His Goodness” a
number one hit in Bermuda for Regina Wingate and co-wrote the moving ballad “O
Come” sung by Karen Ricketts. David
has written over 100 songs and
is also a prolific poet. His
poem "Tears" was
recognized by The International
Society of Poetry and his poetry
is in framed form in multiple
homes across Boston and
other areas.
Born in Nottingham, England, David migrated to Boston, Massachusetts when
he was twelve and currently lives
in Dorchester, Massachusetts with his wife, Wendy.
QUOTES:
A
Giant never starts out being a Giant,
it grows into one.
A Giant is anything that impedes you
from your spiritual, emotional and
financial destiny.
Always be alert, you never know when
you’ll get your next genius idea.
If an entrepreneur tells an employee
entrepreneur problems, he will get
employee solutions.
There are 2 great motivators in life,
pain and poverty.
If you don’t have a financial
plan for your life, then somebody else
does, and you’re probably working
for him.
Minimize your giants by maximizing
your genius.
If your dreams are worth pursuing,
then your giants are worth killing,
because the whole purpose of killing
your giants is so you can live your
dreams.
Greatness starts with your thinking,
are you ready for greatness!
Some people talk about their dreams,
we live them.
