Jopala Poetry
is not just words but poems of
empowerment, motivation healing
and encouragement. With the ability
of words, one can tear down or
build up. The goal of jopala poetry
is always to inspire you to go
to a higher level. While some poems
may identify pain and even frustration,
it is those things that pull out
the greatness in us that has been
suppressed. Words are very powerful;
therefore you will find hope and
encouragement in jopala poetry.
Tears
Tears
are very beautiful, even when cried
in pain
They are like drops of healing waters,
They are sweet like summer rain.
When tears roll down my face,
They let me know that I’m real
They teach me about expression
They embrace the way that I feel.
Tears
are not just sadness,
That are cried by girls and boys
They are reminders of our past and future,
Our failures, our triumphs and joys.
Tears evoke emotion, that touch the lives of man
They pierce the hearts of women and make us understand.
That in life there are many lessons
And none that we should fear
And the one that I am learning
Is never hold back your tears.
Not
Afraid Anymore
I
used to be afraid to step out in
faith
I used t o be afraid to launch out and make a mistake
I used to be afraid to speak out and prophesy
I used to be afraid to speak out against lies
I
used to be afraid to sail out into
the unknown
I used to be afraid to stand out and be alone
I used to be afraid to walk through that door
But FEAR is loosing its place because I’m not afraid anymore
You
see I can’t be afraid because
there are places I must go
Places where freedom abounds and dreams overflow
A place where I long for, it draws me close to thee
So I can’t be afraid.
I’m afraid of not living my dreams
I’m afraid of fear’s bondage, I m afraid to be on that team
So I am not afraid, I have to walk through that door
For that door is my level so I am not afraid anymore
Can’t
Just Eat One
One
rumor, one lie one deception that
may be based on some element of
truth
Like a dainty morsel going down to the innermost part of your being
Your crave gossip like food, you hunger for news that is lacking in value
Every time I see you, you look fatter because of the garbage I know you’re
eating
It’s a shame you’re so predictable that you think gossip is so
much fun
You treat it like a delicacy; too bad you can’t just eat one.
Racing
against Time
Do
you find yourself racing against
time?
If you were to die today
Would you be satisfied with your life?
Do you feel the accomplishments you’ve made have been worthwhile?
Is it possible to leave something for the next generation?
The
time to plan for tomorrow is today
And a lot of your tomorrows are already today.
Time waits for no man and you really can’t beat it
A priceless treasure, what are you doing with your time? |
